Power Distribution: Patch Panels
Union Connector custom builds several different types of UL Listed patch panels. The complexity of these panels can range from simple steel enclosures with outlets, to modular units with outlets, pigtails, circuit breakers and switches. The most important distinction between patch panel types is whether or not circuit breakers must be provided in the panel. Patch panels designed for use in situations where only permanently installed dimmers are used, need not have branch circuit breakers. Patch panels used for road-show connection must have branch circuit breaker protection. This is a requirement of the N.E.C. ( Article 520-50c ).
